Moreover, Eduardo in his ‘Bunk’ collection showed a lot of female element in some of the collages for example, the screen-print piece (Yours Till the Boys Come Home) in 1972. Where in this collage there is two rows, on the left side three picture of military aircraft in different modes, while on the right side "Winnie Garret’s pose in the top photograph combination with the flight deck crash, while the naval photographs take their place within the erotic sequence (Stonard, 2008, p.246) ". The purpose of Winnie Garret in the collage to present aspects of seduction and attraction." particularly his description of advertising as a revelation of the ‘interfusion of sex and technology’ (Stonard, 2008, p.246)."

Moving to another part of Paolozzi's work sculpture, " his sculpture has varied greatly in process from material and imagery, sometimes responding to the new tendencies of the time (Langmuir, 2000, p.515)". Most of his sculpture are abstract human figures and applied in methodology of collage. Where in the mid-1950s he created a series of figure sculptures representing a standing human made out of old machine parts for instance, figure Circa in 1957. This sculpture has only body without head and arms also; the legs appear heavy and difficult to move. It's appears damaged from the irregular contours effect. The sculpture represents the emergence of cybernetics in the arts that led, to combine electronics with human capabilities.

some picture about mosaic mural :

The range of Paolozzi's work was very vast in art field so that it included different aspects. " His later work included several large public commissions, for example mosaic decorations for Tottenham Court Road underground station in London (Chilvers, 2009)" in the early 1980s. The themes of mosaic drawings were inspired from elements of everyday city life, which represent our normal social days. Some of them were inspired from the locations inside the tube station. For example, the Rotunda which there are specific symbols on the sides of the road; a running commuter human, a fast-food chicken and hamburger. These symbols are reflecting the atmosphere of each area. In the other hand there was diversity of colors, which gives the mosaic a beautiful view. Eduardo chooses the mosaic style for the underground station because of its greater flexibility in creating intricate forms, and because it is more striking at close quarters. The mosaic mural was big 990-1000 square meters. At present the mosaics mural has been damaged to accommodate a safety notice but it still considered as the unique and best work of London life art.

To sum up all, Eduardo Paolozzi has an artistic soul that give him the power for creating a unique pieces in different aspects of art field over his life. His work included abstract sculpture, printmaking, collages, ceramics and textiles. Most of his work goes about his passionate interest in science and technology. His sculptures consist of elements that can be later metamorphosing into Pop due of this, he considered “the first artist who brings the pop art to Britain (Hawksly, 2011, p.118). For his work materials, always used a variety of objects and materials related to the idea but at the same time can’t be expected. Moreover, they call him the ‘god father ’ of the pop art because of unique production in his Bunk collage collection in Tate gallery. Also Modernism and surrealism had a big impact on him that the viewer can sense in his work. In his last days Eduardo suffered from disease and died in the hospital in London on 2005. Eduardo Paolozzi art works considered nowadays as good resources in the history of pop art. Raises the question of whether, there will be any of the new generation artist work will be as good or valued as Eduardo paolozzi works.

Eduardo Paolozzi

Eduardo Paolozzi was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 1924 of Italian parents, was British sculptor and artist specifically in printmaking. Where in 1962 Eduardo began to emerge as a Pop artist, because he created an abstract pieces from different materials and a collage based on screen-prints, at the same time he was a member of The Independent Group (IG) “were the single most important group of artists to change the culture of post-war Britain by celebrating popular culture and mass-produced consumer goods (Massey, 1995). Their goals to change the culture of post-war Britain by expand the thought of art and design to include reference to new technology and to developed modernism form. In addition The Independent Group considered the pioneers of pop art, because they leave a huge and unique impact by their works in British.

Since this group was calling for wide knowledge in technology and modernism, " Paolozzi’s work offers a particularly good case study of how the analogical reasoning of cybernetics feeds into a process-oriented artistic practice (Stryker, 2011, p.3)". He came out with screen-print on paper called  (Automobile Head 1954–62). It is a composite of head's shape contain many of automobile engines outline, in a way they became interlocking mechanisms. In final look, you can see a body built from fragment material, represent that we can link even the small piece or information of knowledge to come up with new useful technology in our life. After that, The Independent Group considered one of the important references to new technology.

This screen-print (Automobile Head) is from Tate collection, “ it’s new modern art collection, to be known as ARTIST ROOMS, has been established, it was announced today, created through one of the largest and most imaginative gifts of art ever made to museums in Britain (D'offay, 2008, p.1)”. Tate consists of national British art group from year 1500 to till these days. The Gallery has significant collections of Pop art include major works, for example The ‘Bunk’ collages of Paolozzi “ series of forty-five Bunk collages, made by the artist in Paris and London from around 1947 to 1952, are often considered as prototypical works of Pop art (Stonard, 2008, p.238)” and most of collages cut from American magazine. He used to collect these magazines material from American servicemen stationed in Paris. Often considered these ‘Bunk’ collage collection an important step in the development of the Pop Art history.

Moreover, American magazines became an attractive that period, for the sake of wide reference, because pop artist were very busy in the commercial imagery, which became a habit in post-second world war. One of the politics effects that appear at the end of this war Surrealism " is one of the preeminent art movements of the 20th century. The movement was proclaimed by André Breton in his Surrealist Manifesto of 1924. Like all art movements, Surrealism is a product of its historic period ( Brahman, 2004, p.6) " in order to obtain the release of creative potential of the unconscious mind. Eduardo Paolozzi was deeply affected by Surrealist movement, which led him to make one of his well-known works in Bunk collection (I was a Rich Man's Plaything) in 1947.

Many collages from Bunk collection are characterized by great diversity of ideas and how the material has been cut-and-pasted in a dynamic composition. For instance, the juice product collage titled (Real Gold) in 1949. There is a can of Real Gold orange juice in the right side, which from the juice takes the title. Next to the juice, there are happy people using their technology such machines as modern cars, bikes, radio and the electric kettle. Eduardo was not attracted only by the material well-being of image but, also by the artistic value and they represent the new iconography of the modern world. His point of view, the esthetic of American magazine and popular advertisements they represent the main idea into multi-pictures but all of them related to the same meaning. He applied his point in the collage (Real Gold), that the real gold while drinking this juice same as the happiness experienced while using the modern machines.

The ‘Bunk’ collages of Eduardo Paolozzi

EDUARDO PAOLOZZI’S SERIES of forty-five Bunk collages, made by the artist in Paris and London from around 1947 to 1952, are often considered as prototypical works of Pop art.

These are some examples :

Evadne in green dimension,  is typical in its presentation of consumer goods, sex symbols and richly toned food advertisements, all cut from American magazines and combined in a dynamic composition.

However, many of the works in the series are characterised by the crudeness with which the source material has been cut and pasted down, incorporating yellowing strips of Sellotape and affixed to sheets of card that appear recycled from previous collages.

But it is also indisput- able that Paolozzi wanted to establish his ‘primogeniture’ in a manner that placed a heavy burden on hindsight. One of the more well-known collages from the series, I was a rich man’s plaything , was annotated by Paolozzi in the Tate cata- logue with ‘The First Use of Pop? Collage, 1947.
